Hai, semua! Kali ini saya akan menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan dari tag yang saya dapat dari blog YouReview yang saya follow :D Karena pertanyaannya pake bahasa Inggris dan ini bukan review, jadi nggak apa-apa yah kalau dijawab in English juga ;) Nggak perlu lama-lama lagi, langsung aja yuk...

What are you reading right now?

I'm in the middle of so many books I haven't finished, it's because I was too curious to know what they're about but too lazy to finish it. LOL! However, I just read Class (formerly Cum Laude) by Cecily von Ziegesar this afternoon and sometimes I take Things I Wish My Mother Had Told Me by Lucia Van Der Post by when I ran out of latest magazine to read.

Do you have any idea what you'll read when you're done with that?

Of course, I still have bunch of books I need to finish soon before I start doing some big book hauls in the mean time :D

What magazines do you have in your bathroom/lounge right now?

LOOKS September 2013 issue. I haven't bought any new magazines because I plan to buy NYLON (US) October issue in the end of this month.

What's the worst book that you've ever read?

Cather in the Rye, I don't know the point of the book. Is it an example of certain kind of life or a narrative story of someone's experience? I find it uninteresting to read someone's clueless mind.

What book seems really popular but you actually hated?

Cather in the Rye. 

What's the one book that you recommend to just about everyone?

Bliss by Eric Weiner and Whatever You Think, Think the Opposite by Paul Arden.

What are you favourite 3 poems?

Not really a fan of poems actually.

Where do you usually get your books?

Mostly Togamas and sometimes Gramedia. But for foreign/imported books I always count on Periplus.

Where do you usually read your books?

Lying on the couch, on my bed or sitting on the chair in the porch. 

When you were little did you have any particular reading habits?

Re-reading  some story books I've already read for about hundreds times just because I love the pictures/illustration and my imagination went beyond the story it self.

What's the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn't put it down?

Twilight series :p #guiltypleasure

Have you ever 'faked' reading a book?

Eh? Is there such a thing? I've never heard it until now :O

Have you ever bought a book just because you liked the cover?

Bought? Never. But drooling, most of the times. I'm working in design area, so the cover has some kind of magic through me to judge whether it would be a cheesy book or the great one ;)

What was your favourite book when you were a child?

Princess Kaguya. It's a Japanese old story and I love the idea of a baby princess found in a bamboo and she had to go to the moon when she's grown up. I'm wondering why she was sent to the earth if her home is in the moon.

What book changed your life?

Geography of Bliss by Eric Weiner.

The Real Smartphone

Hape sih boleh smartphone, tapi udah beneran smart belum? Karena smartphone  merupakan versi mini dari komputer. Nah, OS (operating system) komputer paling populer apa hayo? Udah pasti Windows dong yaa. Jadi, kalau hape kamu OS-nya nggak pake Windows, berarti masih kurang smart tuh, bro! #kayakyangpunya #kabur 

Emang ada Windows buat hape? Duh! Ke mana aja sih? Pasti nggak follow Trenologi deh, jadi ketinggalan berita. Sekarang nih ada yang namanya Windows Phone. Karena versi komputer udah sampai Windows 8, versi handphone nggak mau ketinggalan dong dan terciptalah Windows Phone 8. 

Sekeren apa sih Windows Phone 8? Liat hape punya adek saya, tampilannya modern dan minimalis ala gadget masa depan dengan komposisi yang nggak terlalu ribet.

August Haul - Comic Madness

Been a while, eh?

Udah lama banget nggak update blog yang ini *bersih-bersih sarang laba-laba*. Maafkeun, bukannya males baca, dengerin atau nonton, cuma lagi males nulis review #dikeplak.

Anyway, post kali ini bukan soal review, saya akan update hasil hunting saya di toko buku beberapa minggu belakangan. Banyak komik-komik favorit yang rilisnya barengan! >.< Mungkin besok-besok, post semacam ini akan lebih sering bertebaran di sini. 

Kalau novel sih, antara agak guilty kalau mau beli baru karena yang belum kelar masih banyak, apalagi yang belum dibaca, pada numpuk tuh di rak -_-" Belakangan ini lagi suka baca yang pendek-pendek karena lagi excited buat nulis di blog sebelah ;)

Nggak usah banyak cing-cong lagi, langsung aja nih tengokin hasil perburuan saya :D

Cat, cat, CAT

Jadi semakin ke sini saya makin menggilai semua yang 'berbau' kucing. Mulai belajar bikin ilustrasi kartun kucing (in process of drawing Tama, he has unique yet complicated face contour. Bo is the real living proof, anyway), beli stationary yang bergambar atau berbentuk kucing, beli komik-komik kucing sampai akhirnya baru sadar waktu beli lipstik yang packaging-nya bentuk kucing (kena 'rayuan' produk lucunya Korea nih -_-').

Semuanya terasa impulsive waktu beli, sadar-nggak sadar sih. Karena tiap kali beli barang-barang bertema kucing itu, pikiran pertama bukan "Do I need this?" lagi tapi "I gotta have this!". Serem, yes?

Anyhoo, soal komik-komik kucing, sebelumnya saya nggak terlalu ngebet pengen punya. Ini semua bermula waktu baca "POYO POYO", biasanya di bagian belakang komik kan ada tuh iklan komik-komik lain yang baru rilis maupun yang udah lama. Nah, sialnya di bagian tersebut selalu berisi iklan komik-komik kucing di setiap volume "POYO POYO". Ini hal yang melemahkan hati buat pecinta kucing macam saya, to be honest.

Sebelum (atau sesudah ya? atau barengan?) ngikutin seri "POYO POYO", saya udah beli "Meat 'Q' Family". Ceritanya ya tentang kucing gitu deh, diceritain kucingnya berdialog dalam bahasa manusia tapi nggak ada manusianya. 

maaf nih pake kamera HP jadi kurang clear ^^, googling cover-nya ga nemu :(

Kalau "POYO POYO" ada manusianya dan si Poyo (kucing, tokoh utama) nggak bisa ngomong cuma setor muka imut aja. Intinya, si Poyo ini adalah kucing super gendut yang baik hati dan suka menolong. Nggak percaya? Beli aja tuh komiknya dan baca sendiri! :p

Semenjak beli-beli komik "POYO-POYO", saya jadi dapet info tentang komik-komik kucing lainnya. Berikut ini adalah beberapa di antaranya:

FYI, di Goodreads sih ada 3 seri. Tapi yang beredar cuma 2 seri aja.

Mengenai pernak-pernik lainnya, nggak usah dibahas lah yaa ntar dikira pamer lagi :p So far, saya masih hunting komik Kome karena ini tergolong komik lama (volume #5 terbit tahun 2012 sih). Jadi nyarinya juga udah susah di toko buku, iseng googling juga banyak yang jual di Kaskus (entah second atau masih baru). Belum nyari di semua toko buku Surabaya sih, sejauh ini masih di Petra Togamas aja hehee.

Soal pernik kucing, pasti yang nyantol kali pertama Hello Kitty. However, saya nggak terlalu ngefans sama ikon kucing yang satu ini entah kenapa (kayaknya sih karena udah over-exposed, jadi eneg). Lucu sih, tapi not to be fan of. Sekalinya beli barang Hello Kitty ya make up brush set yang kebetulan ada tulisan Hello Kitty di bagian pegangannya. Yup, you read it right, tulisan. Bukan gambar. Itupun saya beli karena lucu aja brush warna pink, kan jarang tuh ;)

Back to comic, saya kurang tertarik sama karakter kucing yang jadi superhero lah, robot atau karakter lain yang tidak kucing-wi (is that even a word?). I just crave for the cuteness and light story, no need a heavy adventure. It would be another kind of manga character, for me.

A new pretty toy

Hi everyone!

Been a while, eh? ;)

Well, I've been writing on my other blog. It's actually my old fashion blog, I've pimped it up and re-brand into something new, of course something I'd like to have.
